Hobart to Cygnet

Departing Hobart 10AM , returning approx 630-7PM

$150 per person including the cruise (90 mins each way), door fee and your first glass of wine.

Minimum of 10 required to operate

The journey is approximately 40 miles and will take us about 90 minutes each way. On the way, we will pass a couple of the vineyards run by the Vino Amigos.  As we leave Hobart we will journey down the River Derwent until we reach the entrance to the D'Entrecasteaux channel. As we enter the channel and head south we will see the Tinderbox Vineyard, home to Anim. Further on down the channel between Bruny Island and the 'mainland' we will pass the waterfront Mewstone vineyard at Flowerpot. We will then make our way into the entrance of the Huon river and up into Cygnet where Sailor Seeks Horse have their vineyard.

Once a month over summer the Port Cygnet Cannery are hosting Vino Amigos at the Cannery Sunday Sessions, where Paul and Gilli from Sailor Seeks Horse and a rotation of their Tassie winemaker mates pour their wines for you to taste, drink and take away. On one side of the Cannery are the wines and ping pong and on the other side, there’ll be tacos, beers, cocktails, live music and beer garden games.

Making their debuts at Vino Amigos are Jonny from Mewstone and Hughes & Hughes, and Max from Anim Wines. Both are young, celebrated winegrowers smashing it in the Channel!
